Job summary

Kia America, Inc. and participating Kia Retailers offer the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP) to skilled veterans.

This full-time opportunity provides hands-on training to diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles and complete warranty orders toward Kia Service Technician certification. The VTAP supports veterans with an apprenticeship that includes access to all necessary tools, equipment, vehicles, and training, along with a GI Bill Monthly Housing Allowance during the

Qualifications

• Honorable Discharge required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Experience in a technical or mechanical field is required.
• Must be willing to complete and pass drug screening and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles across engine, transmission, steering, brakes, HVAC, and electrical systems.
• Complete repair orders and warranty requests per Kia and retailer policies.
• Test drive vehicles and analyze, diagnose, and repair components using Kia diagnostic strategies and tools.
• Communicate with the shop foreman and service advisor to promote an optimal customer experience.
