Job summary

Isuzu Commercial Truck of America, Inc. seeks Military Veterans with mechanical experience to begin a rewarding career as an Isuzu Service Technician Apprentice in the IVAP program in California.

The IVAP is a U.S. Department of Labor and GI Bill®-approved Registered Apprenticeship designed to help Veterans transition into the commercial truck industry, with hands-on dealership exposure and guidance through apprenticeship and certification requirements.

Qualifications

• Veteran or transitioning service member eligibility.
• 3-5 years of military or civilian technician work experience.
• Honorable military discharge or Commander's Statement of Service.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to pass the IVAP technical assessment.
• Ability to pass background/drug screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of Isuzu commercial vehicles.
• Learn on-the-job alongside dealership service teams.
• Complete program-related apprenticeship requirements.
