Job summary

Transwest Isuzu Truck, Trailer, RV Center of Fountain, Colorado seeks Military Veterans with mechanical experience to begin a rewarding career as an Isuzu Service Technician Apprentice.

The role is part of the Isuzu Veterans Apprenticeship Program (IVAP), a GI Bill®-approved Registered Apprenticeship designed to help veterans transition into the commercial truck industry. Qualified applicants gain hands-on dealership experience while completing apprenticeship and certification requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in wheeled vehicle maintenance, diesel or heavy equipment maintenance, automotive repair, or related mechanical systems.
• Hands-on experience with diesel, automotive, heavy equipment, or aircraft systems is a plus.
• Prior military or civilian technician work is valuable.
• Honorable military discharge or Commander’s Statement of Service.
• Ability to provide work references and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of Isuzu commercial vehicles.
• Work alongside dealership service teams and participate in on-the-job learning.
• Complete program-related apprenticeship requirements and assessments.
