Job summary

The VIOS Clinic is seeking Personal Care Aides to provide weekend home care services in the Rocky Mount area. You will assist clients with daily activities, follow care plans, and document tasks using EVV. Strong emphasis on safety, confidentiality, and quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; ability to read and write required.
• At least 6 months of validated caregiving experience.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to follow care plans, perform basic personal care tasks, and utilize assistive devices.
• Strong commitment to safety, confidentiality, and quality care.

Responsibilities

• Follow clients' aide plans and complete daily tasks via EVV or electronic timesheets.
• Assist clients with self-help activities and provide basic personal care such as bathing, grooming, ambulating, meal preparation (including special diets), feeding, oral hygiene, and transfers.
• Ensure safety by following infection control and universal precautions.
• Perform secondary tasks like laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, and meal prep, while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Respect client confidentiality and rights, providing quality care within scope, and seeking guidance when needed.
• Monitor client conditions, report changes, and notify supervisors of safety concerns or abuse suspicions.
• Assist with medication self-administration, never directly administering medication.
