Job summary
Nurse Next Door in Auburn, CA is hiring Caregivers to help local Veterans stay at home with compassionate, personalized care. This part-time role offers weekday and weekend hours, competitive pay between $19 and $21 per hour, and paid training.
Benefits include mileage reimbursement, 1.5x overtime/holiday pay, flexible hours, and support from a 24/7 caregiver team. You’ll assist with personal care, mobility, meals, medication reminders, and companionship.
Qualifications
- 1 year caregiving experience preferred.
- Completion of a criminal background check.
- TB test showing no active TB.
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance or reliable transportation.
- HCA certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist with personal hygiene and grooming.
- Assist with transfers, mobility, and positioning.
- Assist with exercises as appropriate.
- Plan and prepare meals and assist with eating.
- Assist with bathroom needs and incontinence care.
- Provide companionship and light household tasks.
- Assist with medications as needed and self-administered.
- Report changes to supervisor and complete service records.
- Participate in required trainings.
- Maintain active home care aide registration.
