Job summary

Veterans Inc in Lewiston, ME is seeking an Employment and Training Case Manager to help reintegrate homeless and at-risk veterans into meaningful employment. You will conduct client assessments, create individual training plans, provide career counseling, and advocate with employers.

Responsibilities include job coaching, resumes, mock interviews, tracking progress, and outreach to locate veterans; travel required; a bachelor's degree and two years' experience preferred; valid driver’s license

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work or related field is required or substitution of military experience.
• Two years of experience in Employment Training, Vocational Rehabilitation, Counseling, Outreach or related field.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Daily functions include job coaching, resume building, job searches, and mock interviews.
• Perform initial intake and assessments for program acceptance and develop individual training plans.
• Track progress, complete documentation for monthly reporting, and coordinate with funding sources.
• Assist veterans in researching services from public sources or the VA and engage employers.
• Market programs, coordinate referrals, and understand HVRP/CODE/VR&E initiatives.
• Develop and maintain relationships with employers and veterans services agencies to ease transitions.
