Job summary

Isuzu Veterans Apprenticeship Program (IVAP) is seeking Military Veterans with mechanical experience for an apprenticeship as Isuzu Service Technicians. This program aims to help veterans transition into the commercial truck industry.

Candidates will gain hands-on experience while working towards apprenticeship and certification requirements, with potential full-time employment opportunities at participating Isuzu dealerships.

Ideal candidates should possess experience in wheeled vehicle, diesel mechanics or automotive repairs alongside technical skills.

Qualifications

• Transitioning Service Member or U.S. Military Veteran status.
• 3–5 years of military or civilian technician work experience.
• Hands‑on experience with diesel, automotive, heavy equipment, aircraft, generator, fleet maintenance, or related mechanical systems.
• Clean driving record, as attested by the applicant.
• Ability to pass applicable dealership background, driving record, or drug screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support dealership service operations by assisting with inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of Isuzu commercial vehicles.
• Participate in on-the-job learning and complete program-related apprenticeship requirements.
