Job summary

ElderSource is seeking a VDC Person-Centered Counselor to oversee program coordination between ElderSource, VA, veteran beneficiaries, and fiscal staff. You will provide technical assistance, supervise, and support service plan creation, budget management, and timely enrollment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize information.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Planning and organizing capabilities with attention to detail.
• Strong language skills and ability to communicate with diverse groups.
• Solid mathematical and numerical reasoning abilities.
• Ability to interpret and follow complex procedures.
• Proficiency with common computer software.

Responsibilities

• Provide program coordination and administrative support for the VDC program.
• Conduct home-based visits and assess service needs and budgets.
• Assist with monthly invoices and billing coordination.
• Coordinate enrollment and communications with veterans and representatives.
• Maintain up-to-date veteran caseload listings and budget plans.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and timely documentation.
• Communicate program updates to stakeholders and funders.
• Support disaster operations during irregular hours as needed.

Education

Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
