Job summary

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Western Colorado Health Care System in Grand Junction is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care across settings. You will coordinate education, discharge planning, and holistic care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

Qualified candidates must hold an active RN license, nursing degree (ADN/BSN), and BLS. EDPR participation may provide education loan repayment options; workload includes leadership in patient care

Qualifications

English proficiency per VA policy for direct patient care.
Must be a graduate of a nursing program approved by accrediting bodies (ACEN/CCNE).
Registered Nurse license in a US state/territory with current, active, and unrestricted status.
Foreign nursing education requires degree equivalency validation for VA appointment.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care following nursing process and standards.
Coordinate patient education, self-management, and continuity of care across teams.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to optimize outcomes.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic care, safety, and quality.
