Job summary

Tarrant County College District (TCCD) seeks a Specialist, Veteran Benefits to support the enrollment of veteran and military-connected students. The role is based at Trinity River Campus in Fort Worth, with no remote eligibility and monthly pay.

Responsibilities include coordinating VA benefits, acting as SCO, guiding students through residency and tuition waivers, and collaborating with campus staff and VA liaisons. Strong customer service and ERP proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or 60 college credits with 3 years related experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and work-related experience accepted.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides enrollment and onboarding assistance to veterans and eligible family members.
• Helps students understand VA and entitlements funding requirements.
• Serves as a School Certifying Official (SCO) for the district and supports certification processes.
• Supports active-duty military and spouses with tuition assistance concerns.
• Uses student information and imaging systems to verify eligibility and document usage of programs.
• Guides students on filing VA requests and Hazlewood tuition waivers.
• Maintains relationships with veterans counselors and VA liaisons to resolve needs.
• Facilitates veteran student orientation, workshops, and campus veteran organizations.
