Job summary

Kiavets in Rockford, IL is seeking Military Veterans interested in starting a career as Automotive Service Technicians. This position is part of the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP), a structured program offering hands-on experience and leading to Kia Service Technician certification.

Participants in VTAP will gain vital skills for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing Kia vehicles while working full-time at a dealership, with support under the GI Bill® for eligible individuals.

Qualifications

• Must have an Honorable Discharge from U.S. Military Service.
• Prior experience in a mechanical or technical field is required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership service environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles.
• Perform vehicle inspections and diagnostics using Kia procedures.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors for customer experience.
