Job summary

Kiavets in New Bern, NC is looking for Military Veterans with mechanical experience to join their Automotive Service Technician apprenticeship program. This opportunity allows veterans to receive hands-on training and work full-time while completing a one-year competency-based apprenticeship that leads to Kia Service Technician certification. Participants will also benefit from a GI Bill approved program offering a Monthly Housing Allowance (MHA).

Qualifications

• Must have an Honorable Discharge from U.S. Military Service.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Prior experience in a mechanical or technical field required.
• Willingness to complete background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles.
• Perform inspections, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and shop foremen.
• Maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Skills

Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
