Job summary

Kiavets in Virginia is looking for Military Veterans with mechanical experience to join their Automotive Service Technician apprenticeship program. Participants will receive training and hands-on experience to achieve Kia Service Technician certification. The program offers full-time employment, a chance to work alongside experienced technicians, and the opportunity to earn a Monthly Housing Allowance through the GI Bill during the apprenticeship. Ideal candidates must have a clean driving record and a background in a mechanical or technical field.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to complete background check and drug screening.
• Basic automotive maintenance or repair experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
• Perform vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and shop foremen.

Skills

Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership service environment

Prior experience in a mechanical or technical field

Education

Honorable Discharge from U.S. Military Service
