Job summary

Kiavets in Lumberton, NC, is seeking Military Veterans for the Automotive Service Technician role. This position is part of the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP), providing essential hands-on training for a rewarding automotive career. Participants will gain skills to diagnose and repair Kia vehicles while completing a one-year apprenticeship leading to Kia Service Technician certification. Eligible Veterans can benefit from the GI Bill® with a Monthly Housing Allowance during training.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot and diagnose automotive issues.
• Willingness to undergo background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles.
• Perform inspections and diagnostics using Kia procedures.
• Complete repair orders and warranty documentation.
• Test drive vehicles to verify repair quality.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors.
