Job summary

A local automotive dealership in Frisco, TX is seeking Military Veterans for an Automotive Service Technician Apprenticeship. This full-time position offers hands-on dealership experience and a structured one-year apprenticeship path to Kia Service Technician certification. Veterans will develop practical skills in diagnosing and repairing vehicles while supported by the GI Bill® for housing allowance. Ideal candidates should have mechanical experience, strong diagnostics skills, and a willingness to thrive in a fast-paced service environment.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in a mechanical or technical field.
• Willingness to complete background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles.
• Perform vehicle inspections and diagnostics.
• Complete repair orders and warranty documentation.
• Test drive vehicles to verify repair quality.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.

Skills

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership service environment

Basic automotive maintenance or repair experience

Education

Honorable Discharge from U.S. Military Service

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
