Job summary
An automotive service apprenticeship for veterans is available as part of a program designed to help Military Veterans transition into the automotive industry. Participants work full-time at a participating Kia dealership while completing a one-year competency-based apprenticeship leading to Kia Service Technician certification. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing Kia vehicles, conducting vehicle inspections, and maintaining a safe work environment. Eligible Veterans may receive a Monthly Housing Allowance during the apprenticeship.
Qualifications
- Must have an Honorable Discharge from U.S. Military Service.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Prior experience in a mechanical or technical field.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles including engines and electrical systems.
- Perform vehicle inspections and diagnostics using Kia procedures.
- Complete repair orders and warranty documentation according to policies.
