Job summary

Kia America, Inc. is launching the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP) in partnership with Kia Retailers, inviting qualified Veterans to begin a rewarding career as Kia Certified Service Technicians.

Participants will complete a one-year competency-based GI Bill approved apprenticeship, gain access to tools and training, and move toward Kia Service Technician certification, with full-time employment opportunities through participating Kia Retailers.

Qualifications

• Honorable Discharge is required.
• Valid Driver's License from any state with clean record.
• Experience in a technical/mechanical field is required.
• Willingness to complete and pass drug screening and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles using Kia strategies and tools.
• Complete repair orders and warranty requests per Kia and Retailer policies.
• Test drive vehicles and analyze/repair components and systems.
• Communicate with the shop foreman and service advisor to ensure a positive customer experience.
