Job summary

Griffin Kia in Meadville, PA, is hiring Military Veterans for the Automotive Service Technician role as part of the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP). This full-time position allows Veterans to gain hands-on experience while completing a GI Bill® approved one-year apprenticeship leading to Kia Service Technician certification. The role includes diagnosing and repairing Kia vehicles, ensuring vehicle inspection quality, and maintaining a safe work environment. Eligible participants can receive a Monthly Housing Allowance during the apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a mechanical or technical field.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership service environment.
• Willingness to complete background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles.
• Perform vehicle inspections and diagnostics.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors.

Skills

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

Experience in a mechanical or technical field

Basic automotive maintenance or repair experience

Familiarity with diagnostic tools and hand tools

Education

Honorable Discharge from U.S. Military Service

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
