Job summary
Kiavets in Lehighton, PA, is looking for Military Veterans interested in becoming Automotive Service Technicians. This role is part of the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP), designed to help veterans transition into the automotive industry. Apprentices will gain hands-on experience and complete a one-year program leading to Kia Service Technician certification. Candidates should have mechanical experience, strong diagnostic skills, and a valid driver's license. Full-time employment is offered with additional benefits, including a GI Bill-approved monthly housing allowance.
Qualifications
Prior experience in a mechanical or technical field.
Willingness to complete background check and drug screening.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Responsibilities
Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles, including engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, brakes.
Perform vehicle inspections and mechanical repairs using Kia diagnostic procedures.
Communicate effectively with service advisors to ensure a positive customer experience.
