Job summary

Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP) in Urbana, IL, seeks Military Veterans to join as Automotive Service Technicians. This role is part of a structured apprenticeship program offering hands-on experience and training in automotive service. Veterans will gain Kia Service Technician certification while receiving a Monthly Housing Allowance (MHA) through the GI Bill®.

As an Automotive Technician Apprentice, you will work under experienced technicians to diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicles. Ideal candidates are military veterans with mechanical experience and strong troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a mechanical or technical field required.
• Willingness to complete background check and drug screening.
• Familiarity with electrical systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles.
• Perform vehicle inspections and diagnostics.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors.
