Kiavets in Lindon, UT is looking for Military Veterans with mechanical experience to join their Apprenticeship Program as an Automotive Service Technician. The Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP) offers Veterans full-time employment at a Kia dealership while they gain practical skills and complete a competency-based apprenticeship. Duties include diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing Kia vehicles. Preferred candidates should have mechanical experience, a valid driver’s license, and an honorably discharged military background.

Qualifications

• U.S. military service honorable discharge required.
• Prior experience in a mechanical or technical field is necessary.
• Willingness to complete background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles including various systems.
• Perform vehicle inspections and mechanical repairs using Kia procedures.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors for customer experience.

Skills

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership service environment

Basic automotive maintenance or repair experience

Familiarity with diagnostic tools and hand tools

Education

Honorable Discharge from U.S. Military Service

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

ASE certifications or technical training
