Job summary

Luther Kia of Inver Grove is looking for Military Veterans to join the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP) as Automotive Service Technicians. The program provides full-time employment while gaining hands-on experience in a dealership and working towards Kia Service Technician certification.

As an Apprentice, you'll diagnose and repair Kia vehicles under the guidance of experienced technicians, and receive support through the GI Bill including a Monthly Housing Allowance for eligible participants. The role demands strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a mechanical or technical field.
• Willingness to complete background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles.
• Perform vehicle inspections and mechanical repairs.
• Complete repair orders and warranty documentation.
• Test drive vehicles and verify repair quality.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors.
• Maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Skills

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership service environment

Basic automotive maintenance or repair experience

Education

Honorable Discharge from U.S. Military Service

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
