As a Veterinary Technician, you will support veterinarians, prepare equipment for exams and surgeries, administer medications, monitor anesthesia, and provide compassionate care to hospitalized animals while maintaining accurate patient records.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology from an accredited program is required.
• Strong knowledge of veterinary medical practices, procedures, and terminology.
• Proficiency in compassionately handling and restraining animals, including stressed or fearful patients.
• Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and staff to ensure seamless patient care and client service.
• Assist veterinarians with exams, procedures, and surgeries, preparing equipment and supplies.
• Administer medications, vaccinations, lab tests, and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor anesthesia and patient vitals during surgical and dental procedures.
• Provide nursing care to hospitalized and recovering patients, including wound management and IV therapy.
• Communicate treatment plans and updates to pet owners.
