Firehouse Animal Health Centers in Round Rock, TX is seeking a Veterinary Technician (Vet Tech) to join our high‑quality hospital team. You will assist with appointments, exams, treatments, and provide surgical support including anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery.

Responsibilities include dentistry procedures, venipuncture, radiography, and general nursing care. A fast-paced clinic with ongoing training and a culture of teamwork awaits the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Veterinary Technician/Vet Tech experience preferred.
• Experience with anesthesia, dentistry, radiology, and patient care preferred.
• Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care.
• Exotics experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with appointments, exams, and treatments.
• Provide surgical support, including anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery.
• Support dentistry procedures, including dental radiographs and prophylaxis.
• Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, laboratory preparation, and sample collection.
• Capture digital radiographs and assist with diagnostics.
• Monitor hospitalized patients and provide compassionate nursing care.
• Assist in urgent and emergency cases as needed.
• Educate clients on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate medical records and support efficient hospital workflow.
