Qualifications

• College education or equivalent required to become a Credentialed Veterinary Technician.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a veterinary practice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be compassionate, professional, and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients, obtain weight and vital signs, and document visit in EMR.
• Assist veterinarian with appointments, surgery, dentistry, and euthanasia.
• Restrain patients, process lab samples, handle medications, maintain EMR.
• Schedule appointments, educate clients, relay results, manage inventory and billing.
• Prepare patients for procedures, monitor anesthesia, and assist with discharge.
• Provide in-hospital treatments and maintain patient comfort.
• Train new staff and share knowledge.
• Maintain clean hospital environment.
