Job summary

Muddy Creek Animal Hospital is offering externships for veterinary students within the United Veterinary Care network, providing hands-on clinical experience at a Mid-Atlantic Maryland location. Externs engage in case discussions, participate in patient care across GP, ER, and specialty settings, and gain mentorship from experienced veterinarians.

Stipends are available to offset travel and lodging costs where allowed by the program.

Qualifications

• Must be a current veterinary student at an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
• Priority scheduling is given to students in their clinical years on official externship blocks for school credit.
• Must provide proof of professional liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Participate in case discussions and hands-on patient care under supervision in GP, ER, and specialty settings.
• Collaborate with team to mentor, teach, and learn during externships.
