Job summary

United Veterinary Care offers externships across our network of over 100 hospital locations, providing hands-on clinical experience for veterinary students during clinical years. Stipends are available to offset travel and lodging costs, where allowed by the program.

Students must be enrolled in AVMA-accredited veterinary schools, with priority given to those in official externship blocks for school credit.

Qualifications

• Must be a current veterinary student at an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
• Priority scheduling is given to students in their clinical years on official externship blocks for school credit.
• Must provide proof of professional liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in case discussions, collaborative problem solving, and hands-on patient care under supervision.
• Be integrated into the team through participating in surgical cases, dental procedures, emergencies, and routine medical appointments.
