Job summary

Mason Family Pet Hospital in Kentucky is seeking a Client Service Representative (Reception) to support our fast paced, multi-doctor veterinary practice. We are open to both full and part-time candidates; preference given to full-time staff with experience in a reception/veterinary setting.

The Client Services Representative will greet clients, manage check-in/out, schedule appointments, and help maintain a smooth flow of patients through the hospital.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Prior client service experience in a related area preferred but not required.
• Proper telephone etiquette and client service excellence.
• Basic veterinary knowledge, including products and services.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, e-mail, and practice management software).
• Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task and attend to details.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients, determine needs, and complete check-in/check-out.
• Schedule clients for treatments, vaccinations, rechecks, surgeries, and other services.
• Send client reminders for annual health assessments and other routines.
• Pull patient charts and update records as needed.
• Assist with dispensing prescriptions and providing instructions.
• Handle sales of merchandise and process payments according to policies.
• Advise staff on emergencies and transport when needed.
• Maintain waiting area and stock supplies; prepare letters and packets.
