Job summary

National Veterinary Associates (NVA) seeks a Veterinary Pharmacy Technician to support safe dispensing of medications for animal patients. You will prepare, verify, and manage veterinary pharmaceuticals, perform diagnostics testing, and maintain inventory while collaborating with veterinarians, owners, and staff to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include compounding, sterile IV admixtures, data entry, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Experience in veterinary or hospital pharmacy preferred.
Knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations and drug terminology.
Experience with pharmacy software systems.
Cleaning and maintenance of in-clinic laboratory equipment.
Experience with viewing samples under microscope and reporting findings.

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians in dispensing medications and preparing sterile IV admixtures.
Manage inventory of medications, supplies, and prescription food.
Handle laboratory samples and perform diagnostics testing.
Maintain patient data in pharmacy software with confidentiality.
Support IV infusions and aseptic techniques.
Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws.
