Job summary

IDEXX Laboratories, Inc is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician Processor to join our Manhattan, NY lab. You will process samples, operate analyzers and microscopy, and contribute to diagnostic testing that supports veterinarians in diagnosing and treating pets.

The role is full-time with day-one benefits. You will work in a collaborative, growth-focused environment at one of the leading veterinary diagnostic companies globally.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; science-related degree preferred.
• Previous lab experience with processing and cross-training in other lab areas.
• Experience handling high-volume, fast-paced lab work.
• Knowledge of clinical pathology testing in Hematology, Chemistry and Urinalysis.
• Experience setting up, running, and reading lab tests and operating lab equipment.

Responsibilities

• Process samples that enter the lab with strong organization and accuracy.
• Use automated analyzers, microscopes and other diagnostic tools to perform analyses.
• Perform diagnostic tests on blood, urine, fecal or biopsy samples received daily.
• Set up and run lab tests; read and release results according to SOPs.
• Specialize in an assigned department and explore related areas in reference laboratories.
