Job summary

Abqpetcarehospital is offering an externship opportunity at the Freemont Animal Hospital where students will gain hands-on experience in a variety of veterinary procedures including diagnostics, surgeries, and patient management. This externship lasts between two to eight weeks, giving students exposure to clinical practice.

All veterinary students are welcome to apply and receive a travel/living expense stipend during their time.

Qualifications

• Veterinary students encouraged to participate.
• Communication skills with medical team and clients necessary.

Responsibilities

• Gather patient histories and perform physical exams.
• Create treatment plans and assist in diagnostics.
• Observe, assist, or perform surgical procedures.
