Job summary

Hill's Pet Nutrition, part of Colgate-Palmolive, is seeking a Customer Development Manager for Vet Ecosystems & Marketplaces in Overland Park, KS. You will drive ecosystem partnerships and marketplace growth, aligning Hill’s strategies with veterinary networks and home-delivery partners.

The role emphasizes complex partner relationships, data-driven decision making, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver incremental sales and category expansion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
• 8 years experience in a sales role managing large, sophisticated customer relationships or 6+ years with a Masters/MBA degree.
• Experience working with B2B or Marketplace Customers.
• Experience managing partnership agreements or vendor contracts.
• Strong influence and negotiation skills for mutually beneficial solutions with persistence, compromise, and respect.
• Ability to create highly influential and persuasive presentations using slideshow tools (G-Slides, PPT).
• Ability to work effectively across functions, channels, and categories to align priorities and drive execution.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day contact with Ecosystem partner and Marketplace teams to ensure Hill’s is the Partner of choice.
• Identify opportunities for products and programs, develop 6P strategies aligned with consumer insights.
• Analyze customer channels using business trends and shopper insights.
• Lead partnership meetings to support Hill’s Go-to-Market plans.
• Develop and implement annual strategic plans to meet commercial goals.
• Develop digital activations and data capabilities to drive category growth.
• Build partnerships with cross-functional teams and manage forecasts for VSHD, Marketplaces, and B2B.
• Collaborate to implement Hill’s retail environment and brand strategy.
