Job summary

ACCESS Los Angeles is seeking a Veterinary Doctor’s Assistant to join our surgery team. The role supports the veterinarians and ensures smooth daily operations, client communication, and accurate documentation.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in a client-service veterinary role, are fluent in English, and comfortable using veterinary software. The position offers competitive pay and opportunities for growth within a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of veterinary experience in a client service role.
• Fluent reading/writing/speaking English.
• Proficient with veterinary computer systems for data entry.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Board Certified Specialists.
• Serve as liaison between doctors, clients and patients.
• Attach records, images and diagnostic results to patient files.
• Dispense medications as directed by the veterinarian.
• Prepare cost estimates for diagnostics, outpatient treatments, procedures and hospitalizations, and review with pet owners.
• Ensure client consent forms and estimates are signed when required.
• Assist in delivering high-quality, compassionate care for clients and patients.
• Guide clients through the euthanasia process, including paperwork and aftercare.
