Job summary
ACCESS Los Angeles is seeking a Veterinary Doctor’s Assistant to join our surgery team. You will support doctors, manage client communication, and ensure smooth daily operations in a fast-paced setting.
The role requires at least 2 years of veterinary client-service experience and fluency in English. You will work with medical records, assist with medications, and help prepare cost estimates for treatments and hospitalizations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years veterinary experience in a client service role or similar.
- Must read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Proficient in using veterinary computer systems for data entry.
- Friendly, professional, self-driven and collaborative in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Board Certified Specialists.
- Serve as liaison between doctors, clients, and patients.
- Attach records, images, results to patient files.
- Dispense medications as directed by the veterinarian.
- Prepare cost estimates for diagnostics and treatments and review with owners.
- Ensure client consent forms and estimates are signed when required.
- Assist in delivering compassionate care for clients and patients.
- Guide clients through the euthanasia process and aftercare paperwork.
