The Whole Pet Vet Hospital & Wellness Center in Los Gatos, CA seeks an experienced Veterinary Assistant with a strong focus on surgical and procedural support. You will assist veterinarians and technicians, monitor anesthesia, and maintain a clean, organized surgical area while delivering attentive patient care throughout the day.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a veterinary assistant.
• Fear Free Certification or willingness to become certified.
• Hands-on experience supporting anesthesia and monitoring.
• Proficiency in surgical prep, instrument handling, and clean environments.
• Dental procedures, radiography, venipuncture, and IV catheter placement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surgical and procedure areas with equipment, instruments, and supplies.
• Support veterinarians and technicians during surgeries, dental and other procedures.
• Monitor anesthesia and assist patient recovery under guidance.
• Maintain sterile, clean, and organized treatment areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with veterinary and client service teams to stock areas.
