Job summary

Seattle Humane in Bellevue, WA is seeking a Part-time Clinic Associate for our veterinary clinic. You will help keep rooms clean, stock supplies, and support the team during surgeries and routine care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

This entry-level role provides training in basic animal handling, medical support, and medication preparation, with a focus on teamwork and maintaining a safe, compassionate environment for animals and people alike. Interest in veterinary medicine is welcome.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain Veterinary Medication Clerk License (on the job)
• Requires a basic knowledge of animal behavior
• Must be able to work independently
• Must have good communication skills
• Should be able to identify personal limitations and be willing to ask for help
• Must have a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications like Excel, Outlook, and Word or willingness to learn
• Ability to manage multiple tasks at once

Responsibilities

• Perform routine janitorial services in the clinic, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, restocking supplies, and waste disposal
• Clean, stock, organize, wrap instruments, sterilize, and launder items used in surgery and care
• Clean and disinfect animal kennels and common areas
• Animal husbandry duties, including cleaning, feeding, and watering animals
• Fill medications as prescribed by a veterinarian
• Facilitate supply management by handling deliveries and organizing storage areas
