Job summary

Block Island Ferry is seeking qualified USCG licensed mariners for Mate and Engineer positions for the Spring/Summer/Fall of 2026. Positions are available for both full and part-time work on passenger/vehicle and high-speed ferry vessels.

Interstate Navigation Company (Block Island Ferry) is currently accepting applications for on board Mate and Engineer positions for the Spring/Summer/Fall of 2026.

We are seeking qualified USCG licensed mariners to serve as Mate, as well as mechanically inclined watch standing Engineers (Unlicensed) for the Spring/Summer/Fall of 2026. We do have full and part-time positions available on the passenger/vehicle ferry and the high-speed ferry vessels. Applicants must be 18 years of age and must submit to pre-employment USCG/DOT drug screening. Applicants must be available to work weekends and holidays.

Interstate Navigation Companyoperates traditional passenger/vehicle ferry vessels between Point Judith and Block Island, R.I.Interstate also operates (2) high speed ferry vessels, one from Point Judith, and one from Newport and Block Island.
