Job summary

Spitzer Industries in Houston, TX is seeking a Vessel Welder to join our team. The role involves welding fabrication of vessels, following welding procedures and safety policies, and performing 6G test qualifications.

Two to four years of experience, ability to read drawings, and adherence to shop standards are required. Overtime and full-time employment are available with a focus on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Two to four years of experience in welding fabrication of vessels.
• Must be able to read and follow welding procedures.
• Must be able to perform 6G, 6” and 2” 45 degrees weld test.
• Must pass employer performance tests or standard tests to meet certification standards of professional and technical associations.
• Ability to follow shop procedures, quality procedures and safe practices.
• Must have verbal skills with fluency for the responsibilities assigned.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow safety policies and procedures of the shop.
• Conforms to shop quality practices and procedures.
• Set up components and weld metal parts together, using both gas welding and any combination of arc welding processes.
• Weld metal components together to fabricate products according to engineering drawings or work orders.
• Other duties as assigned by the Foreman.
