Petrosmith Equipment in Abilene, TX, is seeking experienced Vessel and Piping Welders for our oil and gas fabrication shop. Welders must pass 6G or 3G weld tests and be skilled in welding pressure vessels and related components.

Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, fitting flanges, welding carbon steel, and following shop procedures with strict safety standards. Full-time employment with benefits and a $500 sign-on bonus.

Qualificações

• Proficient in basic math including addition and fractions.
• Able to read blueprints and interpret specifications.
• Able to read tape measures to 1/16 inch increments.
• Able to pass 6G or 3G welding tests.
• Experience in vessel fabrication and welding components.

Responsabilidades

• Interprets drawings and specifications.
• Welds carbon steel and components using weld procedures.
• Fit-up ANSI flanges to pipe and shells and profile nozzles.
• Lay-out nozzles and sub-assemblies in shell components.
• Burns and grinds nozzle cutouts to tolerances.
• Uses flame cutting torch, carbon arc gouging, plasma arc and grinders.
• Operate cranes and rigging devices safely.
• Follow shop procedures and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with team to determine best solutions.
• Other duties as assigned.
