Broadwind Clean Fuels is a U.S.-based manufacturer of high‑performance CNG pressure reduction systems. We are seeking a Pipe Welder in Abilene, TX, responsible for advanced welding, fitting, and fabrication per blueprints and customer specs.

This role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork in a heavy fabrication environment. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of multi-pass pipe welding with GMAW/FCAW/TIG, reads weld maps, and holds a high school diploma with BWEN certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a welder’s training program or BWEN welder certification.
• 3+ years of multi-pass pipe welding using GMAW, FCAW, and TIG.
• Sub-Arc welding experience is a plus.
• Heavy fabrication experience required.
• Overhead crane certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-pass pipe welding using GMAW, FCAW, and TIG for stainless steel components.
• Read blueprints, weld symbols, weld maps, and work instructions to fit, fabricate, and weld parts.
• Inspect joints for alignment, cleanliness, and conformance before welding and inspection.
• Prepare and finish weld joints, including preheating and post-weld cleaning.
• Operate overhead cranes after certification and manage rigging safely.
• Collaborate with team to support safety, continuous improvement, and production goals.
