Job summary

Gulf Agency Company (GAC) is seeking a Boarding Agent to oversee day-to-day vessel operations from pre-arrival through departure. You will coordinate with port authorities, pilots, tugs, and service providers to ensure smooth port calls and regulatory compliance.

In this role you will respond to inquiries, maintain accurate records, and communicate proactively with principals and clients across time zones. You must be able to work outdoors in varying conditions and hold a valid TWIC card.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education or relevant certifications are a plus.
• Experience in a maritime, shipping agency, port operations, or logistics environment preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn internal systems.
• TWIC card preferred or required.
• Excellent communication and coordination with port authorities and crews.
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation and billing support.
• Able to work in a fast-paced 24/7 environment.

Responsibilities

• Attend to vessels and manage all operational matters per GAC Quality Management System.
• Respond to enquiries and handle all operations for principals and prospective principals.
• Coordinate vessel arrivals with port personnel, pilots, tugs, and authorities.
