Qualifications

• Knowledge of engine room, rudder room and above-deck hull work.
• Familiar with NVAC 7-68 hull repairs.
• Experience keeping boats compliant with Sub-chapter M.
• Ability to operate a dry dock.
• Ability to arrange dry dock blocks for various vessels.
• Ability to collaborate across departments.
• Ability to read boat blueprints and docking plans.
• Basic MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills.
• Knowledge of tank barge cleaning, gas-freeing, hot/cold work permitting procedures.
• Ability to plan crew schedules and meet turnaround deadlines.
• Experience supporting USCG and ABS inspections.
• Knowledge of rigging, crane signaling, and forklift operation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise vessel facility crews to ensure safety and timely completion of work.
• Lead, train, and support associates; work directly with Facility Manager and Engineering team.
• Delegate tasks while actively contributing hands-on in the shop.
• Maintain dry dock and repair areas and ensure accurate crew time records for payroll.
