Job summary

Chart Industries in New Prague, MN is seeking candidates for a General Laborer on the day shift. This role supports manufacturing by blasting, grinding and assisting welders with tank assembly functions.

You will operate cranes, forklifts and manlifts; blast and grind plate for internal customers; apply logos and decals to vessels; help prepare vessels for hydro testing; maintain production and inspection records.

Qualifications

• Understanding and use of basic blueprints.
• Able to accurately read and use a tape measure.
• Familiar and comfortable with hand and power tools.
• Ability to use and understand various measuring devices.
• Computer skills, familiar with navigating a web browser.

Responsibilities

• Operate cranes, forklifts and manlifts.
• Blast and grind plate for internal customers.
• Apply logos and decals to vessels.
• Help prepare vessels for hydro testing (positioning, filling with water, pressurizing and testing).
• Maintain required production and inspection records.
• Assist with the assembly of vessels or other sub-assemblies.
• Maintain the necessary equipment to perform testing.
• Observe and practice safety procedures and policies.
• May be asked to work in other areas as company needs require.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
