Peerless Pump Company in Indianapolis, an Indianapolis based subsidiary of Grundfos, seeks an experienced Assembler II for the Vertical Pump Manufacturing team on the 1st shift. You will assemble, test, and package vertical and horizontal pumps with precision, welding, and hydraulic testing to deliver reliable water pumping solutions.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Ideal candidates have hands-on mechanical skills, blueprint reading ability, and welding

Formación

• High school diploma or GED with vocational training in electrical, welding, precision measuring, or blueprint reading.
• Welding certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics.

Responsabilidades

• Assemble vertical and horizontal pumps and pumping systems.
• Mount pumps and accessories, make electrical connections up to 480V 3-phase and mechanical connections.
• Set up hydraulic and performance tests and record results.
• Perform precision operations (drilling, tapping, fitting, reaming, honing, polishing, acetylene cutting).
• Inspect components for suitability against drawings and specifications.
• Provide training to team members and promote safety and Lean practices.
