Job summary

Flagpoles Etc in Wixom, MI is seeking an experienced welder to join our hands-on shop. The role requires performing TIG welding on aluminum and MIG on steel, reading fabrication specs, and supporting various shop and warehouse tasks as needed.

You will work with a team to ensure quality workmanship, maintain clean, safe work areas, and contribute to timely project completion. A dependable, safety-conscious approach is essential, with flexibility for different duties as workload dictates.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on TIG and MIG welding experience.
• Strong aluminum TIG-welding skills.
• Experience welding steel.
• Ability to produce clean, consistent, structurally sound welds.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Comfortable using common welding, cutting, grinding, and shop tools.
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to follow directions.
• Willingness to perform warehouse and general shop duties when needed.
• Able to work independently while also being a reliable team player.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding on aluminum components
• Perform MIG welding on steel components
• Read measurements and follow fabrication specifications
• Cut, fit, assemble, and finish materials accurately
• Inspect completed welds for strength, appearance, and quality
• Assist with general fabrication projects
• Maintain an organized and safe welding and work area
• Help with warehouse duties when needed
• Assist with receiving materials and unloading trucks
• Move, organize, and stage products and materials
• Support production, shipping, and other departments as needed
