Job summary

Krum ISD is seeking a Substitute Teacher for the district-wide pool in Krum, Texas. The role involves providing learning activities, following lesson plans, and supervising students across campuses.

Qualifications

• Education/Certification: High school diploma/GED, some college hours, or associate degree
• Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of core academic subject assigned, Knowledge of curriculum and instruction, Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior, Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Experience working with Title I schools and diverse student populations (EL and other subpops)
• Applicants with diverse backgrounds and experience are encouraged to apply
• Experience managing groups of students and providing instruction, or related work experience

Responsibilities

• Implement lesson plans and activities provided by the absent teacher
• Use appropriate instructional strategies reflecting student needs and present subject matter
• Work with teachers to modify curriculum as needed
• Submit attendance reports
• Maintain a conducive learning environment and manage student behavior
• Supervise students at all times
• Leave notes or the approved substitute teacher report form at day’s end
