Job summary

Krum ISD is seeking an Instructional Aide - Special Education in Krum, Texas. This non-exempt, full-time position supports teachers and students in instructional activities and behavior management throughout the school day.

The incumbent will work under the supervision of the classroom teacher and administrator, providing educational resources, basic care to students with special needs, and collaboration for instructional planning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Texas Paraprofessional Certificate required.
• Ability to work well with children and teachers.
• Ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers and students in use of appropriate educational resources.
• Collaborate with supervising teacher and follow directions.
• Plan for instructional needs of students and demonstrate initiative.
• Provide basic care to special needs students as directed by supervising teacher and principal.
• Manage student behavior and supervise students during school day (lunchroom, bus, playground).
