Job summary

Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville, KY is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Float Pool, full-time days. The role involves floating across MS, IMC, ICU, Women's Services, ER, and Fleming ER, delivering direct patient care and coordinating nursing care.

You will use the nursing process, participate in patient and family teaching, and advocate for patients; the position requires BLS, ACLS, and PALS within specified times, and 2–4 years of critical care experience.

Qualifications

• Current Kentucky or compact state RN license.
• Associate's degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS required within 1 month; ACLS and PALS within 6 months.
• 2–4 years of critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform plan of care and administer medications and treatments.
• Document patient care and monitor conditions for care team.
• Assist with activities of daily living and patient hygiene.
• Coordinate patient transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
• Provide patient/family education tailored to age and culture.
• Advocate for patient physical and emotional well-being.
• Float to units as needed to maintain safe nurse-patient ratios.
• Manage ventilators and critical drips on ICU patients.
