Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to care for patients.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments per policies and standards of care.
• Performs assessments, planning, intervention and evaluation of care.
• Documents care according to standards of care.
• Develops and executes patient care plans per physician and clinic policy.
• Educates patients and families at an appropriate level; supports learning.
• Escalates patient safety concerns through the proper chain of command.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and shared governance.
• Supports longitudinal patient planning across units/departments.
