Mercyhealth is seeking a registered nurse in Wisconsin to provide direct patient care, administer medications, and develop care plans. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to ensure quality outcomes and patient safety in a dynamic hospital setting.

The role requires ADN with BSN preferred, active RN license in the state, and CPR/BLS within 90 days. ACLS/PALS/PEARS/NRP may be required by unit guidelines, and ongoing professional development is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• ADN required upon hire; BSN preferred.
• RN license in state of practice; CPR/BLS within 90 days.
• Additional unit-specific certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS, PEARS, NRP) may be required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments per policies, procedures, standards of care, and state law.
• Documents according to standards of care.
• Performs assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care.
• Develops and executes patient plans of care per physician and unit policy including patient/family instruction.
• Participates in department/unit performance improvement activities and shared governance.
• Provides clinical guidance to other units to support the patient’s longitudinal plan of care.
• Escalates patient safety and experience concerns through proper channels.
• Engages in professional nursing continuum, unit practice activities, and peer review.
